Hi everyone! I am Shelby Young from Downingtown, PA. I am a Junior at Penn State studying Art Education and working towards my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drawing and Painting. 

ALEXIS

I am from State College, Pa. I use to work in product development for a number of years. My work took me to New York City and then all the way to Paris, France. I enjoy painting, drawing, and going for hikes. I have a Frenchbull dog, Louis. Sometimes he is smelly but he is sweet.

I love art so much.  My favorite mediums would have to be painting and drawing. Including watercolor, oil paint, charcoal, pastel, etc. Above is a painting done in oil that I completed last year for my Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA).

My hobbies include as you could guess art but, I also enjoy playing soccer, hiking, exploring, and hanging with friends and family

​I have been painting ever since I have been little. I use oil, watercolor, and acrylic. I have started using recycled items to create sculptures as well. I have started an Instagram account for my paintings. I find social media is a great way to connect with other artists, find inspiration, and keep track of your progress.

​I really like traveling. Whether it is a drive to a new town or a different country, I am always up for exploring new areas. I often sketch while I am visiting new places. Above is a picture of me in Peru. Below is a picture of a sketch I did at Black Moshannon State Park. 

I like to stay active. I play on a volleyball league twice a week. I also try to bike and walk when I can. I recently have started painting some of my teammates. See below for my most recent volleyball scene.
